On April 22, the Sichuan Provincial Poverty Reduction Summary and Commendation Conference was held in Chengdu, and a total of 78 collectives and 122 individuals in Liangshan Prefecture were honored.
Back five months ago, on November 17, 2020, the provincial government approved the removal of poverty reduction caps in seven poverty-stricken counties in Liangshan Prefecture. So far, all 88 poverty-stricken counties in the province have been "cleared".
Liangshan is the largest Yi inhabited area in the country. Affected by many factors, there were 2,072 poverty-stricken villages in the whole prefecture, with a poverty incidence rate of 19.8%, and 11 of the 17 counties (cities) were all deeply poor counties. From basic food and clothing to not worrying about food and clothing, income maintained rapid and stable growth. Basic medical security capabilities have been fully improved, and 100% of family doctors living in poverty have been contracted for services.
From outdated habits to modern civilization, changing customs has achieved remarkable results. The whole state is showing a trend of "three declines, three reductions" in poisonous feelings, standardizing spontaneous relocation, deepening the change of customs, and fully launching the "Tree New Wind to Help Poverty Reduction" Women Action Plan to promote the formation of a modern civilized lifestyle.
